ArmorTrax® Heavy Metal (Steel road plates)

ArmorTrax Heavy Metal are regular plain steel road plates available in 7 standard sizes. We also offer extra features such as lifting eyes both in each corner as well as in the center.

Steel road plates often referred to as “driving mats” has been the standard choice for decades and are still the best option in some environments. Examples of the most suitable situations are: When the end user has access to lifting crane, need to cover up actual holes in the ground, heavy traffic, busy roads, no time for compromise, no need or demands for eco requirements and regulations etc, large groundwork, utility projects etc.

These steel driving road plates/mats are manufactured from Swedish ore, steel quality such as S235JR & J2+N. It is recommended using 20mm thick Steel Road Plates for pedestrian and car use and the thicker alternatives from 25, 30,40 mm Steel Road mats for allowing heavy vehicles to pass over, and specifically if you need to cover holes.

Our Steel road plates are in it standard form not supplied with corner holes (also known as road plate lifting eyes). This however is an extra feature starting from 20 € per plate, and allows plates to be chained for easier handling when placing and removing them. Please make sure to mention if you need this.
